How do I find out what bank owns my apartment building?
I live in a four unit apartment building. As of the end of the month, I will be the only tenant left. My landlord was having problems with the bank all summer, even when it was fully occupied. Two of the units have been vacant for a couple of months now, and I haven’t seen him showing them, nor have I seen any ads for them on craigslist. I am afraid that with my rent by itself, he’s not going to be able to pay his mortgage, and the bank will foreclose. With 75% vacancy, the bank is not going to be able to find a new owner very quickly, and I’m afraid they’re going to foreclose and evict me. How can I find out which bank owns the property so I can get some advance notice of foreclosure? If I could talk to someone at the bank and find out for sure if foreclosure was imminent, I could find a new apartment now (and also not bother to pay my rent for next month!) and not just come home from work one day to find the sheriff’s department throwing all my stuff in the street? I wouldn’t actually mind moving that much, I just want to have some control over it!

U zult uw materiaal " niet vinden; geworpen in street." Tenzij het reeds is verhinderd, een bank doesn' t het nog. Zover als wie huidige owner' s de geldschieter is, kunt u omhoog de bezitsverslagen bekijken de provincie en zien welke geldschieter een pandrecht op het bezit heeft.

You' ll krijg overvloed van bericht. Don' t zorg over het. Zelfs nadat de bank overneemt, moet de bank nog formele uitzettingprocedure instellen om u van de hand te doen. You' ll krijg overvloed van bericht alvorens de uitzetting begint. Er zal een lange manier tussen verhindering & zijn; sheriff' s afdeling die verschijnt.

Foreclosure in and of itself is not grounds for eviction.
You think a building with 75% vacancy is hard to sell? Well try 100% vacancy.
Perhaps the bank won’t allow the owner to enter into any leases and prospective tenants don’t want month to month rental agreements?

You cannot find out what bank holds the mortgage for this or any property. That is not public information and you have no right to it. Even if you could find the bank they will NOT talk to you about someone eleses mortgage.
If it does go to foreclosure, you still MUST pay the rent!!! If you do not then they can evict you before it goes through. Their foreclosure has NOTHING to do with your lease or your legal obligation to pay.
It is ILLEGAL for anyone to just throw your stuff out! If it does get foreclosed, then there are new federal foreclosure laws to protect you. The bank is now required to let you live out your lease or give you 90 days notice. Nobody can just kick you out any more.
