How and where should I advertise to invite people over to my apartment to sell ethnic clothes and jewelry?

This is a one time sale and I have beautiful clothes and jewelry and want to invite people over to my apartment and sell these products. I want to know of an economical way to advertise locally around my area so people are aware of what I have and get interested to come to my sale.

the local news paper and near by towns is a good place to start.

Or you can just print up some fliers and post them at the supper markets, laundry places, and post offices.
